Mughal Ventures collaborated with Peony Ventures on the launch of LUCKYRICE, an integrated lifestyle brand with a big appetite for Asian food and culinary culture.

LUCKYRICE programs and events are guided by an award-winning Culinary Council, including Daniel Boulud, Anthony Bourdain, Floyd Cardoz, David Chang, Michael Bao Huynh, Susur Lee, Anita Lo, Masaharu Morimoto, Pichet Ong, Tadashi Ono, Zak Pelaccio, Eric Ripert, Marcus Samuelsson, Angelo Sosa, Albert Trummer, and Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

Held during Spring 2010 in New York City, the LUCKYRICE Festival explored the influence of Asian cuisine and culture in the United States. Events included an Opening Cocktail Party at the Bowery Hotel, a conversation between Eric Ripert, David Chang and Buddhist expert Robert Thurman at MoMA, a Night Market in DUMBO hosted by David Chang, and a Grand Feast with Council chefs at the Mandarin Oriental.

All Festival programs and events supported non-profit partners City Harvest and the Asian American Federation.

The Festival was presented in partnership with Condé Nast Traveler, Time Out New York and Edible Manhattan.
